We woke to blue skies and sunshine and were ready to head out to the Exumas. after
reading the electrical meters, paying the dockage and loading the cooler with
ice, it was time to get started on what we knew was going to be a long day crossing the Exumas bank with a South-SouthWest wind on the nose to Allens Cay. It started out okay, but once we crossed
Fleemings Channel, Clouds arrived along with wind and a very choppy confused
sea.

It was a long day covering 53.63 NM
in 7 hours we were anchored between Allens Cay and Leaf Cay. We checked the anchor and then swam over to
the beach to meet the friendly Iguanas.
